Elizabeth is one of the rehab
practitioners and at Caring Canine Rehabilitation Center.
Elizabeth Barrett began showing dogs in conformation, obedience, and later agility in 1991 with the purchase of a black male Doberman. That dog went on to become
the second male in the history of the breed to obtain the AKC’s Master Agility Championship (MACH). He was also one of four dogs that Elizabeth
has handled into the Doberman Pinscher Club of America’s(DPCA) Top 20 Agility rankings in a four year period. She has professionally handled multiple breeds to Top 10 conformation rankings; and overall has handled dogs representing five of the seven AKC groups.
In 2009 she was honored to serve as one of the judges for the DPCA
National Top 20 Conformation Event.
Breeding under the kennel name, ADAMAS, Elizabeth’s commitment to the breed has extended to rescue for several years, as well as to training three service dogs. She has served as past president of the Atlanta Doberman Pinscher Club, and in multiple roles including Vice President and Agility Chairman for the Sawnee Mountain Kennel Club.
For two and a half years, Elizabeth was a regularly featured agility columnist in the Doberman Digest, has been reprinted in Front and Finish, and is featured as a contributing author in the much anticipated follow-up to Bob and Pat Hastings' Puppy Puzzle video called Another Piece of the Puzzle: Puppy Development.
She currently writes for the Doberman Digest regarding physical
rehabilitation, and serves as that publication's Southeast Region
commentator.
Elizabeth Barrett graduated with honors as a Registered Veterinary
Technician, and is certified in canine massage therapy . She earned her
certification as a Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner from the University of Tennessee.
